The Material Handler/Saw Operator is an entry level position for someone who is detail-oriented and motivated. This is a dynamic position with opportunities for additional responsibilities and movement within the Company.

Requirements

Prefer high school degree or equivalent
At least 1 year of related experience or training in material handling and/or metal cutting
Basic computer knowledge and math skills
Discipline to provide consistent and precise work in an AS9100 environment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with others
Ability to manage multiple demands in a professional manner
Must be able to work safely and wear appropriate PPE while working (safety shoes & glasses)
Certified forklift operator or forklift experience preferred
Must be able to lift, pull, push or apply force up to 35 lbs. frequently, up to 50 lbs. occasionally, or up to 75 lbs. with assistance
Frequent bending, stooping, pulling and twisting
Extended periods of standing or walking frequently required
Steel toed or safety shoes are required for the Material Handler/Saw Operator
Must have constant free mobility of hands, wrists, and arms; some physical or mechanical dexterity required
Must be able to meet minimum vision screening requirements outlined in customers’ QMS
Due to ITAR requirements, applicants for ALL Intrex Aerospace positions must be a “U.S. Person” (i.e. Citizen, Permanent Resident, etc.) to be considered for employment.

Nice To Haves

Prefer experience or familiarity with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems
Certified forklift operator or forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

Physically receive material from various vendors/delivery services
Stock raw materials and maintain the inventory system integrity (material traceability, cycle counts, etc.)
Issue material from stock to shop work orders & physically deliver material to indicated machinery
Identify nonconformities in documentation and communicate issues to appropriate Team members or department(s)
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Set up and operate up to 2 CNC saws
Operate grinders and deburring equipment as needed
Support materials department objectives in order to meet on-time and inventory control metrics
Maintain housekeeping and safety standards in work area and wherever material is delivered in the shop
