About The Position

Are You the Go-To Person for Finishing, Traceability, and Quality? Imagine starting your shift by checking work orders, staging materials, and planning the route each component will take. You coordinate with your Department Manager, then move parts through precise finishing steps, document every action to ISO 13485, and confirm dimensions before release. That’s the impact you’ll have at TOMZ, where we produce medical device components using high-precision machining, finishing, assembly, and anodizing. Your Mission Process components through these operations: Tumbling Blasting Heat treat Laser welding Laser marking Passivation Anodize Verify quality with visual and dimensional checks using a microscope, micrometer, caliper, pin gauges, thread gauges, a comparator, and a Micro-Hite. Maintain and file ISO 13485-compliant documentation for every lot and operation. Control identification, status, and complete traceability for conforming and nonconforming material. Champion GDP/GMP and continuous improvement with quality best practices. Record data and control traceability via ERP and QMS. Work safely—use required PPE and follow all Occupational Safety and Health practices; uphold the TOMZ QMS. Assist with additional projects and duties as needed.

Requirements

• Experience manufacturing Class I, II, and/or III medical devices.
• Time spent in regulated environments like Aerospace, Defense, or Pharmaceutical.
• Familiarity with GMP/ISO requirements.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of mechanical metal finishing equipment and processes.
• Comfort using basic hand tools for preventive maintenance.
• Ability to read and apply blueprints, specifications, and procedures.
• Accuracy-focused, detail-oriented, and timely.
• A proactive self-starter who performs well solo and on a team.
• Ability to collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, and QA with minimal direction.
• Well-organized and disciplined.
• High school diploma or GED; equivalent directly transferrable experience is welcome (Manufacturing or Engineering preferred).
• 2–5 years in a regulated manufacturing setting.
• Clear, effective communication in English—written and spoken.
