About The Position

The Metal Finisher is responsible for applying customer specified finishes or standard finishes to the products manufactured. A detail-oriented attitude is essential to achieve the desired quality in the finished products.

Requirements

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Use tools and equipment in the finishing/polishing of stainless equipment.
• Read blueprints and finish specifications.
• Use knowledge of all finishes required and procedures required to achieve R.M.S. finish rating.
• Use a RA/RMS meter.
• Attain proper grain structure to achieve a quality and cosmetically finished product up to a 320 grit finish RMS reading.
• Maintain a neat and safe working area.
• Assist supervisor and co-workers as directed.
• Work as a team and/or lead a group to finish a project from start to shipment and work through problems that arise during manufacturing.
• Other duties as assigned.
