About The Position

This position has responsibility and authority to perform various metal finishing functions, heat treatment, surface finishing, glass beading, and electro-polishing. Finishing production and/or prototype devices/articles/customer products, stainless steel, titanium, plastic, and aluminum, using manual or mechanical finishing equipment (vapor blasting, annealing oven, chemical bathes, surface abrasive vibratory equipment) and standard electro-polishing equipment – applying industry standard metal finishing techniques ensuring that the customer product requirements and Tegra Medical requirements are met while meeting the requirements of the quality policy and quality objective of Tegra Medical ISO 13485 quality management system.

Note: The Metal Finisher I is not authorized to operate grinding wheels or other metal finishing grinders without supervision

Requirements

• High School or equivalent education

Responsibilities

• Perform metal finishing job assignments, heat treating or surface finishing as identified on the job router and the accompanying print. Not including material removal machines (i.e. Belt grinder, buffer, grinder.)
• Maintain vibratory tumbler.
• Inspect, measure and test metal finished product.
• Determine whether product meets/conforms to the product specifications.
• Follow the procedures of the Tegra Medical QMS applicable to this job function.
• Follow the applicable customer procedures applicable to this job function and/or specified by the print or router.
• Follow Tegra Medical safety and environmental procedures.
• Follow written and verbal directions from supervisor.
• Perform non-routine task assigned by supervisor and/or management.
