About The Position

Parabit Systems, a well-established and rapidly expanding company in the security and self-service equipment industries, is currently seeking an experienced, motivated, innovative, problem solver with a comprehensive understanding of all facets of Metal Work and Finishing. Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years' experience in the field. The applicant must be proficient in fabricating top quality finished products. Applicants must be able to read and review shop drawings. A strong work ethic and personal commitment to quality and service are essential for this position. Adhering to deadlines and time management skills are essential. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication skills that is highly organized, reliable, trustworthily, and efficacy driven.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 3 years' experience in metalwork
• Proficient in fabricating top quality finished products
• Ability to read and review shop drawings
• Strong work ethic and personal commitment to quality and service
• Excellent communication skills
• Highly organized, reliable, trustworthily, and efficacy driven

Nice To Haves

• Painting or Powder-Coating knowledge

Responsibilities

• Grinding, sanding, and filling uneven surfaces
• Polishing and coating metal
• Etching decorative details
• Removing dents, scratches, and defects from metal surfaces using stroke sanders, hand power tools and pneumatic tools
• Operating a variety of machines for metal finishing
• Following safety instructions including P.P.E.
• Filling out paperwork to accurately track traceability on all parts
• Reading and reviewing fabrication drawings and specifications
• Consistently working within tight tolerances
• Manufacturing high quality products
• Being knowledgeable with sanding, preparation, finishing, application, polishing, repair and manual machining techniques
• Being exceptionally knowledgeable in various millwork products such as laminates, solid surfacing, painted finishes, and stainless steel
• Adhering to established procedures/processes/policies
• Being self-motivated, with a strong work ethic
