About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team in the trade show booth manufacturing industry . The Metal Fabricator will be responsible for reading technical drawings, cutting, welding, and assembling metal components used in custom exhibit structures and display systems. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship and an understanding of both functional and aesthetic considerations unique to trade show environments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in metal fabrication or welding preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in metal fabrication, preferably in a custom manufacturing or exhibit production environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong skills in MIG and/or TIG welding (aluminum and steel).
  • Familiarity with fabrication tools such as shears, press brakes, bandsaws, grinders, and drill presses.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in exhibit or trade show booth fabrication.
  • Knowledge of modular systems and custom framing solutions.
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate metal components based on blueprints, CAD drawings, or shop sketches.
  • Cut, bend, and assemble aluminum, steel, and other metals using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
  • Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG) to join metal parts with precision.
  • Ensure all fabricated parts meet design specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with designers, carpenters, and project managers to ensure structural and aesthetic accuracy.
  • Perform finishing tasks such as grinding, polishing, and deburring to prepare surfaces for powder coating or paint.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following established safety procedures and protocols.
  • Assist in the loading, installation, or on-site support of booth components when needed.
