About The Position

To produce quality parts using a variety of metal fabrication processes and machines. This role involves operating machines such as drill presses, punch presses, perforation machines, manual mills, end formers, horizontal and vertical saws.

Requirements

Vocational training in metal fabrication or machining
Blueprint reading and understanding
Basic math skills including fractions and decimals
Ability to work within tight tolerances
Accurate use of measuring equipment such as tapes and calipers
Accurate documentation
Versatility
Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
Problem solving skills
Analytical ability
Attention to detail
Communication and interpersonal skills
Dexterity
Must pass pre-placement background check and drug screen before starting employment

Nice To Haves

Ability to set up, program and operate CNC equipment efficiently is a plus

Responsibilities

Machine set up and operation
Running multiple machines and processes simultaneously
Follow quality procedures – document as necessary
Inspection of parts using a variety of measuring tools
Set up work station and appropriately select dies, drill bits, and other tools for the assigned job
Inspection documentation
Process job packets accurately using a computer
Maintain confidentiality of customer information in blue prints used or designed by Bauer
Adhere to all safety policies
Maintain commitment to safety, ethics and professionalism
