About The Position

Minneapolis Sheet Metal Works is seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join their team. The role involves taking projects from stock metal to final fabrication, primarily using MIG and TIG welding techniques on materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. The ideal candidate will have experience in reading blueprints and laying out designs prior to fabrication, contributing to a dynamic and energizing work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of welding experience required.
• Proficiency in setting up a welder and adjusting gas mixtures.
• Experience reading blueprints is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Welding certifications are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Take projects from stock metal to final fabrication using shears, press brakes, and rollers.
• Read blueprints and lay out designs prior to fabrication.
• Set up welding equipment and adjust gas mixtures for optimal welding outcomes.
