Metal Fabrication/Saw Operator - 1st Shift
About The Position
KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time saw operator to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 1st shift. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment. To learn more about KI, please visit www.ki.com Job Duties: The shear operator is responsible for setting up the Haven Shear and End Finisher as well as making adjustments to ensure accurate product is being produced. The position is also responsible for: Complete daily, safety inspections of the shear and end finisher Cut the correct materials according to the shop orders Change blades as necessary Change and adjust machines based on tubing diameter and length Transport bundles of steel tubing utilizing a hoist system. Perform multiple tasks to ISO Quality Standards Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
- Must be able to take measurements by using the decimal system
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow
Nice To Haves
- Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience, but not required
- Communication skills
- Computer knowledge
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to read KI print will be useful
