Motis Manufacturing is looking for a full-time Metal Cutter to join us at our brand-new manufacturing center in Germantown, WI. Monday - Thursday, 10-hour shift - 5:30am to 3:30pm Based in Germantown, Wisconsin, Motis Manufacturing Center has been manufacturing lightweight aluminum ramp systems for over 30 years. Using innovative designs and lightweight aluminum alloys, Motis Manufacturing Center has created a unique product assortment that enables our customers to solve loading, hauling or transportation challenges safely and at a reasonable cost. Our lightweight aluminum products are far superior to steel alternatives as they never rust, are light and easy to handle but are built-strong to never fail.

Requirements

  • Experience in cutting metal materials, or carpentry.
  • Knowledge of cutting tools, machines, and equipment used in metal cutting.
  • Good math skills and the ability to perform accurate measurements.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and guidelines for working cutting machines and tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; team lift products weighing over 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to write; able to read printed and written instructions.
  • Ability to maintain a clean work environment and follow 5S procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime depending on schedule and workload.

Responsibilities

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine the dimensions and shapes required for metal parts.
  • Selecting appropriate cutting tools, machines, and equipment based on the specifications of the job.
  • Operating cutting machines, such as saws, drills, and CNC machines, to cut and shape metal materials accurately.
  • Measuring and inspecting finished parts to ensure they meet the required specifications and tolerances.
  • Following safety procedures and guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
  • Collaborating with other team members, such as engineers and designers, to ensure that the parts meet the required specifications and are produced efficiently.
