About The Position

Piper Life Sciences is actively seeking a MES (Syncade) Automation Engineer to support the implementation of a paperless manufacturing platform for a cutting-edge biopharmaceutical facility in Holly Springs, NC. This role is part of a major greenfield expansion and will involve contributing to the design and delivery of an integrated ERP/MES/DCS solution. This is a Monday-Friday hybrid role operating on Eastern time with 3-4 days on-site and flexibility for 1-2 days remote per week.

Requirements

1+ years of hands-on experience with Emerson Syncade including configuration debugging and environment migration
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Event Viewer, and MES/ERP/DCS architecture
Exposure to cGMP, FDA regulations, ISA-88, ISA-95, and 21 CFR Part 11
Fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of VB Script, XML/XPATH/XSLT, Kneat Gx, or TrackWise is a plus
Experience working in pharmaceutical or highly regulated industrial environments
Knowledge with Emerson DeltaV, OSIsoft PI, and InfoBatch is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Support the design and implementation of Emerson DeltaV MES (Syncade) with a focus on enforcing digital workflows and integration across manufacturing systems
Attend project meetings and review system requirements, design documents, and test protocols for MES functionality
Provide guidance on core modules such as Document Management (DCA), Order Management, Material Management, Workflow Execution, and Electronic Batch Records
Collaborate cross-functionally with automation, process engineering, QA, and IT to align on MES development and implementation plans
Assist in infrastructure setup, recipe development, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Translate system requirements into test protocols and contribute to validation and compliance activities.
