About the position
The MES Principal Controls Engineer will oversee and manage the manufacturing execution system (MES) to ensure its integration and functionality across various control levels in manufacturing environments. This role involves handling system upgrades, managing SCADA applications, and improving manufacturing processes through data analysis and system programming.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the manufacturing execution system (MES).
- Ensure integration and functionality across various control levels (ISA Levels 1-3).
- Handle system upgrades and manage SCADA applications.
- Improve manufacturing processes through data analysis and system programming.
Requirements
- 10 years of experience with MES.
- Experience with AVEVA software.
- Proficient in PLC programming.
- Strong knowledge of ISA Levels 1-3, especially Level 3.
- Experience with SCADA systems, specifically Wonderware InTouch HMI or Wonderware OMI.
- Familiarity with FactoryTalk View SE.
- Capability to replace and expand MES systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in configuring system redundancies and middleware.
- Proficiency in SQL and .NET.
- Background in a complex MES environment, including managing multiple systems.
