Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Analyst

Ontic is a rapidly growing aerospace manufacturer, privately owned by a leading global private equity firm CVC Capital Partners. The M&A Analyst will be responsible for assisting in the evaluation, execution, and integration of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) as part of a small, fast-paced dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a driven self-starter with strong project management skills who can collaborate effectively with senior leadership and external stakeholders. The position offers the opportunity to be involved in high-impact projects across multiple areas, including M&A, market expansion, competitive analysis, and long-term corporate strategy. This is a high visibility role, with frequent exposure to senior leadership. You will report to the VP, M&A and will have an onsite work structure in Creedmoor, NC.
Requirements
- Must have BA/BS (Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, International Business, Engineering, etc).
- 1-3+ years of relevant professional and industry experience, including finance, accounting, consulting, investment banking, or other similar corporate experience
- Familiarity with financial statements and financial analysis
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and interpretative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly detail oriented
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a small, dynamic team in a fast paced environment
- Ability to interact with internal and external executives and investment professionals
Nice To Haves
- CPA, CFA, MBA, Masters in Accounting or working towards them is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the identification, evaluation, selection, and monitoring of investment opportunities
- Build financial models and forecasts for potential targets and active deals
- Conduct industry, market, and competitor analysis
- Prepare briefing notes, marketing material, and board papers for potential acquisitions
- Actively participate in the due diligence process for potential acquisitions
- Assist in post-acquisition integration planning and execution to ensure successful integration of acquired companies
