About The Position

The Merger and Acquisition Manager at Affinity Waste Solutions LLC is a remote corporate role responsible for leading the organization's strategic growth initiatives through mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and partnerships. This position requires a visionary leader with a proven track record in deal-making, financial modeling, and due diligence, who can identify, evaluate, negotiate, and execute transactions that align with the company's objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, or corporate development.
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, valuation techniques, and corporate finance principles.
  • Proven track record of leading successful transactions, from identification to integration.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with CRM platform(s) and use of relationship management software.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the M&A strategy to achieve the company's growth objectives.
  • Identify potential acquisition targets, partnerships, or divestiture opportunities that align with corporate goals.
  • Build business cases and recommend strategic decisions to senior leadership.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends and potential growth opportunities.
  • Build, develop and execute a national pipeline of acquisition candidates aligned with the service offerings of the Company.
  • Nurture candidate interest from initial introduction to closure.
  • Evaluate financial statements, forecasts, and valuations to assess opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations with target companies, advisors, and other stakeholders.
  • Structure transactions and ensure optimal financial and operational outcomes.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to draft and review contracts, terms, and agreements.
  • Oversee due diligence processes, coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and implement post-acquisition integration plans to ensure seamless transitions.
  • Present recommendations and updates to the executive leadership team and board of Managers.
  • Interpret and leverage internal and external data insights to identify potential issues and opportunities for customer experience enhancement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging and customer-centric processes.
