Requirements

  • Forklift, Reach Truck, or Rider Walkie/Pallet Rider experience.
  • Knowledge of physical inventory process helpful.
  • Ability to operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and work an alternate shift for an extended period of time with limited notice.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, lift and perform manual dexterity.
  • Lift up to 50-pound boxes and remain on feet for entire shift.
  • Ability to ascend staircases and perform standing work on an elevated platform.
  • Ability to climb ladders.
  • Ability to work while being exposed to cold temperatures in the winter and hot temperatures in the summer.

Responsibilities

  • Start and stop conveyor lines, controlling the flow of product.
  • Monitor and report (for each loading door) the percentage of line capacity that is diverted or aborted.
  • Monitor outlying conveyor lines to ensure each department is selecting proper wave numbers and keeping up with the rest of the operation.
  • Monitor software alarms for jams, motor overloads and stoppages.
  • Clear jams.
  • Work closely with loading dock management teams.
  • Understand the selection and loading process.
  • Coordinate breaks, lunches and trailer changes.
  • Comply effectively with company work and safety rules.
  • Continually meet assigned production standards.
  • Maintain a quality of work that limits mispicks, shorts and damages.
  • Be trained and certified to operate any required equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to select/load/unload and/or deliver ALL products that may be ordered by our customers.
  • Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Inspect the equipment to insure properly functioning daily.
  • Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
  • Communicate and interact with manager to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and support other departments as needed.
