About The Position
As a Supplier Quality Engineering Co-Op at Mercury Marine, a division of Brunswick Corporation, you will be immersed in a dynamic and innovative environment that is at the forefront of the marine industry. This position offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively and independently with a team of highly qualified engineering, manufacturing, and procurement professionals. Your role will focus on the design, sourcing, and manufacturing of outboard and stern drive motors for the recreational boating industry, making you an integral part of a quality engineering team dedicated to delivering superior results. In this co-op position, you will manage supplier relationships for an assigned product commodity, which will involve communicating with your assigned supplier group to ensure a clear understanding of Mercury's Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) requirements. You will evaluate supplier performance through auditing and sorting, and you will develop corrective action plans to mitigate risks associated with manufacturing processes and systems. Collaboration will be key as you work with engineering and procurement teams during the development of new products, identifying sources and technical competency requirements for suppliers. This role is designed to provide you with hands-on learning experiences that will enhance your professional growth.
