In this role you will be responsible for managing a Team of up to 14 talented Merchandisers and oversee the day-to-day operations of the department. This includes supporting our retailers with planning and displaying our products.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • 3+ years’ merchandising experience
  • 1+ years’ supervisor experience
  • Must possess a current, valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

  • Presentation skills necessary to effectively communicate, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management
  • Demonstrated high level proficiency oral and written communication skills
  • Planning and organizational skills necessary to coordinate workload around multiple assignments
  • People skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and other business areas
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Coaches, directs, counsels’ merchandisers on overall performance; defines expectations and monitor’s progress
  • Develops scheduling that meets the needs of the customer and company
  • Ensures, through a team of merchandisers, which assigned deliveries are checked in and put up, back rooms are rotated, and cold boxes are filled
  • Ensures proper rotation of products being serviced
  • Ensures displays are built and customers concerns are managed appropriately and timely
  • Periodically runs sales routes in the absence of the key account specialist
  • Develops strong relationships with Customers and Company delivery department
  • Collaborates with peers to achieve objectives/goals
  • Works with retailers (Store Managers) to negotiate space in backrooms, work through barriers and obstacles
  • Performs other duties as assigned
