About The Position

Kontoor Brands is looking for a Merchandising Specialist to join their team. This role will collaborate with cross functional support groups to successfully execute seasonal production needs and critical tasks. You will work with product development, technical design, global product, planning, sales, and brand to successfully execute seasonal production needs and critical tasks.

Requirements

• Ability to think logically, show initiative and work independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasked environment, with tight deadlines.
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
• Occasional night or weekend work.
• Must have a reliable transportation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships within the Merchandising team and other departments
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Office.
• Years of Related Professional Experience: 2 – 4 years
• High School Diploma required.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer 2 year to 4-year degree in Consumer Apparel and Retail Studies, Business Management or Merchandising; or equivalent business experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection and organization of information needed by style/color to ensure correct execution in production of all styles in the product line.
• Communicates style level information as needed to different departments throughout the organization including the Design, Sales, Tech Services, Demand Planning and Production Planning.
• Generate line sheets and GDS information to ensure the correct setup of seasonal styles.
• Play a lead role in the development of product packaging/ticketing, working with Brand/Marketing and all key parties to execute to final product spec in a timely manner.
• Provide continuous maintenance of the line room including the maintenance and tracking of multiple sample lines.
• Interface with key salespeople on behalf of merchandiser – ex: answers questions, prepares document as requested, gets special packages together, fields sales suggestions.
• Attend specified merchandising /sales functions and occasional account sell-in meetings.
• Make internal line presentations in Merchandiser’s absence when needed.
• Order product samples as needed for sales meetings, presentations, fashion shoes, etc. Coordinates styles to be selected with Merchandiser.
• Lead and/or work independently on special projects with the ability to travel between all Kontoor Greensboro locations on a regular basis.
