About The Position

The position involves leading the Merchandising Service team to ensure efficient project execution aligned with the overall Merchandising Service strategy. Responsibilities include scheduling the team, managing resources, onboarding and training new associates, coaching on performance, and creating development plans based on individual metrics. The role also requires handling disciplinary actions, managing project expenses, and resolving issues at the project or store level. Additionally, the position emphasizes customer service, ensuring that associates provide SMART customer service, assist customers with their needs, and maintain accurate product information. The role also includes overseeing merchandise stocking, compliance with safety standards, and maintaining a clean and secure store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules Merchandising Service team and manages resources for efficient project execution.
  • Guides Merchandising Service Associates (MSAs) on project priorities and needs.
  • Delivers onboarding and training, provides on-the-job coaching, and mentors MSAs.
  • Coaches MSAs on performance and creates tailored development plans.
  • Handles disciplinary actions and partners with HR business partner.
  • Manages project, travel, display, fixture expenses, and weekly payroll.
  • Identifies and resolves project and/or store-level issues.
  • Summarizes and communicates project information and updates.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and merchandising.
  • Leads team to merchandise live goods in garden centers.
  • Collaborates with Field Project managers on large third-party labor projects.
  • Provides SMART customer service through execution of policies and procedures.
  • Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
  • Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, and warranties.
  • Oversees that merchandise is stocked and displayed according to planogram.
  • Confirms accuracy of signage, pricing, and product information.
  • Leads efforts of buyback items and ensures proper processing of damaged products.
  • Maintains compliance with housekeeping standards and safety requirements.
