About The Position

The position involves leading the Merchandising Service team to ensure efficient project execution aligned with the overall Merchandising Service strategy. Responsibilities include scheduling the team, managing resources, guiding associates on project priorities, and delivering onboarding and training. The role also requires coaching on performance, creating development plans, handling disciplinary actions, and managing project expenses. The leader will communicate project updates with various teams and identify opportunities for improvement in merchandising and displays. Additionally, the position entails providing exceptional customer service, overseeing merchandise stocking, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining a clean and safe store environment.

Responsibilities

  • Schedules Merchandising Service team and manages resources for efficient project execution.
  • Guides Merchandising Service Associates (MSAs) on project priorities, scheduling, and needs.
  • Delivers onboarding and training, provides on-the-job coaching, and mentors MSAs.
  • Coaches MSAs on performance and creates tailored development plans.
  • Handles disciplinary actions and partners with HR business partner.
  • Manages project, travel, display, fixture expenses, and weekly payroll.
  • Identifies and resolves project and/or store-level issues.
  • Summarizes and communicates project information and updates.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency, merchandising, and displays.
  • Leads team to merchandise live goods in garden centers.
  • Collaborates with Field Project managers on large third-party labor projects.
  • Provides SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's policies.
  • Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating merchandise.
  • Listens to and responds to customer and employee questions.
  • Demonstrates appreciation to customers and communicates product information.
  • Supports those that help customers by providing necessary tools and resources.
  • Leads daily price change execution and audits price labels.
  • Oversees merchandise stocking and ensures compliance with planograms.
  • Confirms accuracy of signage, pricing, and product information.
  • Collaborates with receiving departments for staging processes.
  • Leads efforts of buyback items and ensures proper processing of damaged products.
  • Detects signs of theft and communicates them to management.
  • Ensures compliance with housekeeping standards and maintains cleanliness.
  • Maintains a safe and secure work environment and conducts daily safety reviews.
  • Operates store equipment as needed for specific roles.
