About The Position

As a Merchandising Service Associate – Plant Service Lead, you will focus on Live Plants while ensuring that the store is clean, safe, and stocked with the products our customers need. Your responsibilities will include overseeing execution of all assigned Live Nursery merchandising resets, service responsibilities, and maintenance activities. You will work closely with the Merchandising Service Manager and store leaders to set and lead priorities for the MST Live Nursery team, ensuring that merchandise is stocked, fronted, and priced according to planograms and store-specific merchandising standards. You will also maintain a safe and secure work environment by conducting daily safety reviews and monitoring for potential theft or security risks.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of Live nursery experience or General Merchandising experience.

Nice To Haves

  • High School or GED.
  • Less than 1 year of Lowe’s sales floor experience.
  • 6 Months Experience performing product merchandising tasks including reading planograms, setting up and tearing down displays.
  • Less than 1 year of experience operating power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SMART customer service through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Build relationships with vendors by providing direction and checking to ensure merchandise resets are completed according to Lowe’s specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Merchandising Service team and Manager by communicating project priorities, schedule, and project needs.
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise.
  • Identify damaged or missing signage, displays, collateral and order replacements in accordance with merchandising standards.
  • Update/validate wayfinding and product location signage as well as digital maintenance of this information throughout the store.
  • Ensure cross merchandise, side stack products, j-hooks and gravity feed bins are placed appropriately.
  • Assist with culling and pricing dead and distressed plants.
  • Maintain a high level of communication and partnership with MSM and red vest associates.
  • Adjust fixtures, rotate stock, displays products and support materials using power equipment.
  • Review, complete, and enter completion details for all assigned service and maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure all displays are safe and in working order and repaired/replaced as needed.
  • Remove all trash, move cardboard boxes to the bailer and move plastic wrap and other debris to the compactor.
  • Replace light bulbs and alert the appropriate contact when additional maintenance issues are noted.
  • Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks, and promptly communicate them to management.
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties.
  • Operate store equipment as needed depending on one specific role and department.
