About The Position

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for maintaining and optimizing our pricing structure to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market by utilizing expertise in market analysis, data interpretation, and marketing strategies to make informed pricing decisions.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field is required. Experience may be substituted.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in retail pricing analysis, preferably in a retail or e-commerce setting is required.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and foster a spirit of cooperation.
  • Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and clearly present findings.
  • Must be proficient in data analysis tools.
  • Must have experience with financial modeling, cost analysis, and forecasting.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment utilizing time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to build and maintain client and vendor relationships.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time in an office type environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of consumer pricing along with historical product movement, including cost and competitive pricing trends.
  • Monitor market dynamics, customer behavior, and industry trends to identify opportunities for pricing adjustments.
  • Evaluate competitor pricing strategies and positioning in the market.
  • Monitor and maintain GSA Schedules.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses to develop effective pricing strategies.
  • Regularly review cost data for our products.
  • Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure accurate and up-to-date cost information is accurate and populated into our ERP system.
  • Consistently review key product categories and adjust pricing strategies to maximize margin and profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and customer preferences.
  • Use market insights to adjust pricing strategies and product positioning.
  • Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate pricing strategies and performance to senior management.
  • Assist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.
  • Participate in training and meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
