About The Position

To lead, supervise, direct and control the Merchandising team to ensure efficient operation. The Merchandising Manager is responsible for staffing, training and retention of Merchandisers.

  • Education – high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience – three (3) to five (5) years merchandising experience
  • Licensing – valid Driver License

Responsibilities

  • Periodically works with Merchandising personnel in accordance with the guidelines established by the Sales Manager.
  • Ensure proper staff is available prior to approving vacations.
  • Schedule workforce for efficient operation in support of Company needs.
  • Merchandising Manager will be informed of merchandising goals, distribute them to Merchandisers, and follow up to ensure execution.
  • Ensure that team is staffed with qualified, well trained employees.
  • Provide direction, leadership and supervision for assigned staff.
  • Ensure all are trained in required job functions and job functions are conducted in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Conduct performance appraisals of each direct report on a regular basis.
  • Be prepared to take corrective action to improve any deficiencies in assigned staff performance through counseling and/or progressive discipline forms.
  • Work with Sales team to evaluate merchandising frequency in chains and large format stores.
  • Manage merchandising work assignment and routing.
  • Manage merchandising activities within the Company’s merchandising payroll cost budget.
  • Check merchandising performance in the field to evaluate the adherence to Company’s retail standards.
  • Works closely with and communicate effectively with the Merchandising, Operations, Delivery, Sales, and Point-Of-Sale teams.
  • Informs Sales Management of any heightened competitive actives as they relate to merchandising
  • Personally follow up on any merchandising-related customer complaint
  • Maintain open and clear communications with the owners, managers, and other employees of the Company.
  • Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures outlined in the KEG 1 Iowa, LLC Employee Handbook.
  • Conduct all activities in accordance with local, state, and federal liquor control regulations.
