The Merchandising Lead provides member service by acknowledging members, identifying their needs, providing guidance on self-service technology, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting company products and services. This role also assists management with the supervision of associates, including assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training on processes, providing direction on member service, ensuring compliance with company policies, supporting the Open Door Policy, and participating in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates. The lead is responsible for receiving and stocking supplies and merchandise, organizing and maintaining the sales floor, and ensuring facility safety by following company procedures for safety sweeps, forklift spotting, hazardous materials, and steel standards. They ensure maintenance of the sales floor and merchandise presentation, handle claims and returns, zone areas, stock, arrange, organize, set up displays, remove damaged goods, sign and price merchandise, identify shrink, and secure fragile items. The position monitors food and merchandise quality, ensuring product rotation, code dating, recall compliance, and sanitation standards. It also oversees the picking and staging of club pick-up orders. The Merchandising Lead develops, communicates, and implements processes to meet business needs, collaborates with partners, analyzes information, monitors progress, and identifies improvement opportunities. They demonstrate, promote, and support compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity, and lead and participate in teams by sharing resources, determining customer needs, coordinating assignments, and providing feedback.
