Overview We are excited to announce the J.Jill Internship Program – our 10-week paid summer internship running from June through August 2026. Designed for rising juniors and seniors, this program provides hands-on exposure to a leading specialty retail company. Interns will contribute to daily business activities within their assigned departments while also gaining a broader understanding of J.Jill through cross-functional learning opportunities. This is a full-time program based at our office in Quincy, Massachusetts. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Merchandising Intern to join our team. You will support our Merchandising team in developing customer-focused product assortments that help deliver on J.Jill’s financial and brand goals. This hands-on role provides exposure to the full product lifecycle – from initial design concepts to customer-facing readiness. The application deadline is Friday, January 16 .

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Fashion Merchandising or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrates curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn about Product Development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team while managing independent tasks effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with developing the merchandise framework and editing the line to meet strategic business needs
  • Create and maintain seasonal assortments, ensuring product information is accurate and up to date
  • Conduct competitive market research to understand trends, product offerings, and pricing
  • Partner with Merchant on in-season management, learning how the team assesses trends and adjusts to customer demand
