About The Position

MillerKnoll Summer Internship Program is a paid opportunity that allows you to gain real-world experience and cultivate your professional skills. Besides the work you’ll do within your field of study, you'll participate in one-on-one meetings with mentors, a summer-long project, learning sessions with senior leaders, and much more. This internship offers hands-on, real-world merchandising experience in a collaborative, creative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about product, modern design, problem-solving, and continuous learning.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Merchandising, Buying or other related areas.
  • Must have a GPA of at least 3.0 (overall or within your program) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program.
  • Strong passion for product development and modern design principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Adaptable, eager to learn, and driven to grow professionally.
  • Dependable, with a strong sense of accountability and punctuality.
  • Capable of exercising sound judgment and working independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain keen awareness of competitive environment, product trends and industry activities.
  • Help support key assortment milestone activities and meetings including product review, assortment presentation and seasonal product trainings.
  • Learn key roles & responsibilities within Assistant Merchant function, including SKU creation and data management, promotional planning and execution, sample management, marketing and digital exposure accuracy and more.
  • Participate in vendor relations, from performance analysis, sourcing strategies and business reviews.
  • Perform regular business analysis and provide actionable recommendations to optimize assortment performance.
