About The Position

The Merchandising Coordinator - Grocery supports the Grocery Category Management team in all relevant areas of the business. The Merchandising Coordinator - Grocery primarily supports new item submissions for both physical samples and portal review, new item set up, ad directives, and new store orders for DSD vendors. The Merchandising Coordinator - Grocery also serves as the key Grocery point of contact supporting stores with all related inquiries and requests.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Buying, Marketing, Business related field preferred
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Grocery, Merchandising and/or food industry experience
Ability to work cross-functionally and maintain effective working relationships
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytical and decision-making skills, and ability to work on cross-functional teams
Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver boxes weighing up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

Collect, coordinate, and manage all new item submission samples and corresponding sample room/storage area
Ensure new items are entered into Portal and communicate with brands and brokers for any needed or missing information
Assist category team with new item reviews
Work directly with Grocery suppliers to facilitate collection of item, cost, and delivery information.
Facilitate new store orders for DSD vendors
Manage and run specific and ad-hoc weekly reports for the Grocery team
Prepare reports and files for Category Manager and Store locations.
Respond to and manage all help desk or customer inquiries for the Grocery team.
