In this position you will service East Penn ’s national, regional, and local accounts by providing training to customers, as appropriate, to support business growth within your Maryland Heights territory. The Merchandising Associate is committed to the company ’s success while upholding East Penn Company policies and culture.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Must currently reside in the Greater Maryland Heights, Missouri area, with daily travel as needed.
  • Clean and Valid Driver ’s License

Responsibilities

  • Make regular service calls to national customers, regional customers, and local customers as laid out by the District or Sales Manager, and within assigned territory to ensure appropriate customer support is provided and products are delivered as per commitment / schedule.
  • As required, provide delivery of product and pick up used and/or other products for return to East Penn warehouse
  • Provide technical information on products and demonstrates products, using samples or catalogues, pointing out salable features and emphasizes benefits
  • Participating in training initiatives and providing ad hoc training to national customers as required
  • Maintaining relationships with customers by presenting a positive and professional demeanor always
  • Report any customer concerns, issues, satisfaction, or red flags to the District Sales Manager
  • Pro-actively advising Warehouse Manager / Customer Service teams of customer information / data that may impact customer satisfaction
  • Efficiently and effectively performing battery inspection on automotive batteries; returning defective, new, or rotation batteries to warehouse if/when needed
  • Review and understand all National and OES Account program details
  • Comply with SalesForce and expense reporting
  • Participate in monthly sales meetings
  • Exhibit motivation and commitment to effectively meet goals and deadlines as established by management
  • Resolve customer issues and provide outstanding customer relations.
  • Submit all required reports to District Manager in a timely and professional manner
  • When not out servicing accounts will be required to report into warehouse to support the warehouse manager ’s needs, i.e. pulling orders, making deliveries, & general material handling duties.
  • May require some overnight travel during the week.
  • Maintain professional appearance
  • Responsible for professional appearance and maintenance of all company issued equipment and property
  • Proper and timely etiquette with all correspondence
