About The Position

The Merchandising Assistant supports the execution of seasonal merchandising strategies through detailed reporting, analytical insights, and cross-functional collaboration. This role plays a key part in driving business performance while maintaining alignment with the Maje brand vision and market positioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Merchandising, Fashion, or Business preferred
  • 0–2 years of experience in merchandising, buying, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of the Maje brand identity and customer
  • Highly analytical with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP; advanced skills a plus)
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact across all levels
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with a collaborative, team-first attitude

Responsibilities

  • Generate and maintain daily, weekly, and seasonal reporting to support merchandising strategies and business performance
  • Analyze sales performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to inform decision-making
  • Prepare recaps and insights for key milestones including Hindsight, Business Reviews, and seasonal hindsight analyses
  • Support store visit preparation by compiling regional performance, best sellers, and actionable insights; complete post-visit recaps
  • Assist in building and maintaining product assortments, line sheets, and product knowledge tools for internal teams and external partners
  • Support pricing, promotions, and markdown execution, ensuring accuracy across all systems
  • Maintain and update product databases, including attributes, pricing, and categorizations
  • Process purchase orders, track deliveries, and partner with operations to resolve discrepancies or delays
  • Contribute to competitive pricing analysis and market benchmarking each season
  • Partner closely with Planning & Allocation to support the full product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with Marketing and PR on product selections for gifting and activations
  • Assist in coordinating product training materials and sessions to ensure retail teams are aligned on seasonal collections and key trends
  • Build strong relationships with global and local teams, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing environment
