About The Position

The position involves demonstrating thought leadership and acting as an Ambassador for Data Driven Merchandising initiatives, enabling data-driven decision making. The role requires analyzing merchandise performance at various levels, including department, cluster, vendor, item, and location. This includes evaluating store, regional, and business unit performance metrics related to pricing, promotion, and item assortment. The candidate will support the MAM in documenting strategic decisions around pricing, promotions, and assortment, leveraging available tools and reporting to provide timely insights on business unit merchandise performance. The role also involves organizing, summarizing, and visualizing data into meaningful insights for non-analytical peers, and working with cross-functional partners to identify gaps and improve existing DDM tools and processes. Additionally, the candidate will conceptualize and develop new tools and models to provide insights and recommendations to meet business goals, support the annual DDM planning process, and contribute to the Global Analytical network. The position requires maintaining professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking, while contributing to team efforts to achieve financial and key result area targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of work experience in data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and email applications.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, and data visualization platforms (PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Experience with SQL is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and prioritize projects and tasks.
  • Outstanding analytic skills, logical reasoning, and data interpretation abilities.
  • Experience working with individuals from different organizational functions and levels.
  • Retail experience is an asset.
