About The Position

Admiral Beverage is seeking a Merchandiser to display beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and on the sales floor of retail stores. The role involves arranging products according to a prearranged plan or personal ideas approved by management, placing price and descriptive signs, transferring products from stock rooms to floor displays, and ordering products for assigned accounts to prevent out-of-stock conditions. The Merchandiser will also originate display ideas or follow suggestions from the Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager, and communicate effectively with key store personnel regarding service or product needs. Other duties may be assigned by supervisors as necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must meet company driver qualifications.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic functions of math in all units of measure and formats.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

• Some states require employees to be 21 years of age or older when promoting, merchandising, and delivering alcoholic beverages.

Responsibilities

• Displays beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and sales floor.
• Arranges products according to prearranged plan or own ideas approved by management.
• Places price and descriptive signs on backdrop, fixtures, merchandise, or floor.
• Transfers product from customer stock room to floor displays to comply with 'Sell By' dates.
• Orders product for assigned accounts to ensure no out-of-stock conditions.
• Originates display ideas or follows suggestions from management.
• Communicates daily with key store personnel on service or product needs.
• Constructs or assembles display aids from company provided Point of Sale (POS) materials.
