About The Position

The merchandiser will be an integral member of the field sales team, supported by a nearby branch. This individual will promote brands and product lines by visiting kitchen and bath (K&B) showrooms, Fabricators, and design studios in the designated region. With Corporate support, they would be responsible for the Company's promotional and sales/marketing efforts in the region. The role is an outside field position where 80% of the time will be spent visiting customers, driving, and part of the time internally at the assigned branch, assisting customers, showing slabs, assembling displays, collecting samples, and supporting internal staff under the supervision of the local Branch manager or the executive team. Merchandisers will also be part of the internal staff as needed and will be part of the schedule rotating Saturday.

Responsibilities

  • Engage business owners & other key decision makers through friendly, consistent and professional communications
  • Qualify and evaluate potential showrooms for UMI displays and marketing efforts
  • Identify opportunities for CR to improve the consumer experience in the marketplace
  • Regularly conduct product informational updates, educating our retail sales partners and fabricators about CR and our lines of products.
  • During these meaningful visits/discussions obtain a better understanding of their business needs and potential sales opportunities for CR.
  • Customer Evaluation and categorization of all customers assigned to your region, using existing sales “intel” report to collect all information CR requires for better serve our clients and improve sales performance.
  • Maintain accurate information about the customer, address, email addresses of all members of the clients’ team and updating the information into our Inventory system.
  • During these meaningful visits, CR expects all displays to be in order, clean and with all samples in place, placing an order when samples are missing from our displays and making sure all of our marketing collateral are in place.
  • Window decals, location cards, catalogs, updated price list when applicable and any other marketing initiative we have in place.
  • Helping customers showing slabs, assembling displays, collecting samples and supporting internal staff under supervision of the local Branch manager or the executive team.
  • Be part of the internal staff as needed and be part of the schedule rotating Saturday.
