The Sales Trainee/Merchandiser position is responsible for effectively managing an established sales territory, encompassing selling, servicing, merchandising, administration, and accounts receivable tasks. Key responsibilities include achieving sales objectives, executing territory management strategies, promoting current and new products, implementing promotions, conducting in-store tastings, and servicing accounts. This role is designed to provide comprehensive training to new personnel, preparing them to eventually manage their own sales territory. Execute merchandising activities including shelf placement, maintaining cold boxes, building displays, and stocking inventories. Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities in the role of Sales Trainee/Merchandiser. Travel within assigned territory to service accounts. Develop and nurture relationships with customers to drive sales growth. Complete other work-related tasks and special projects as assigned. Job Requirements Work experience in the liquor industry, such as bartender, wait staff, or liquor store experience, is a plus. Goal-oriented with a track record of achieving results. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively. Competitive, self-motivated, and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. Strong written and oral communication skills in a professional manner. Capable of lifting up to 50-pound cases, sometimes repeatedly. Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on communication and problem resolution. Proven ability to multitask efficiently within given time parameters. Excellent planning and organizational skills to achieve business goals. Proficient in computer applications such as MS Office, Power BI, and familiarity with Workday is a plus. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and be able to pass a pre-employment criminal background check and MVR. Possess reliable transportation with valid insurance. Local candidates are preferred; no relocation package provided.
