About The Position

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is the nation’s largest private bottler and distributor of Pepsi beverages, based in NC, SC, MD, & DE. The purpose of this Merchandiser role is to merchandise products, including stocking shelves, rotating shelved products, setting up displays, cooler stocking/rotation, storage room organization, and moving products from storage to the sales floor. The company is jointly owned by Suntory and PepsiCo, both with long legacies in beverages. Pepsi Bottling Ventures makes, sells, and distributes PepsiCo and Keurig Dr. Pepper beverages with exclusive rights in certain counties across five states, and also creates and distributes its own beverages nationally. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED highly preferred.
• Three to five years of relevant work experience may be considered, in lieu of a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Able to perform basic financial calculations, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good driving habits.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be a self-starter with excellent follow-up skills.
• Ability to meet PBV driving qualifications.
• Ability to work hours necessary to complete assigned tasks.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
• Repetitive job requiring frequent, but not more than normal mental or visual effort or alertness.

Responsibilities

• Fills and merchandises all coolers, displays, racks, shelves, and/or vendors in accordance with PBV standards.
• Sells and executes all promotions.
• Creates and utilizes point-of-sale signage.
• Develops good customer relations.
• Services all customers as scheduled.
• Orders product and /or runs invoices.
• Cleans equipment and maintains backroom storage in an orderly fashion – rotates stock.
• Other duties as assigned.
