About The Position

The Merchandiser runs the day-to-day of Level99 merchandise program and ensures products move efficiently from concept to player-ready execution. They turn strategy into action, managing the line plan, maintaining Shopify, overseeing reorders, and making sure every product is correctly built, priced, and launched on schedule. All Level99 employees are passionate about getting the details right, anticipating staff and player needs, and advancing the Level99 brand. This role is the operational core of the merchandise function. You will translate direction from the Head of Merchandise into tangible results, coordinating across Product Development, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, and Creative. Your work will ensure the merchandising pipeline stays on track, launches land cleanly, and players experience the brand consistently both online and in-store. The ideal candidate combines strong organizational instincts, analytical problem solving, and the ability to drive execution across teams. This role plays a key part in connecting product vision to execution, ensuring the Level99 brand comes to life through every item and player interaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in merchandising, planning, or retail operations within consumer products, lifestyle, or apparel.
  • Hands-on experience running e-commerce or retail product catalogs (Shopify preferred).
  • Experience with line planning, lifecycle management, and assortment forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of how product data and systems connect(Shopify, POS, 3PL).
  • Proven ability to use sales and inventory data to make smart merchandising calls.
  • Strong understanding of retail merchandising, visual standards, and in-store presentation.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating across creative, supply chain, and retail functions to deliver on time.
  • Experience supporting new store launches and product rollouts.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Shopify, Adobe, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Clear communicator with ability to drive alignment and accountability across teams.
  • Able to balance creative priorities with operational constraints

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Retail Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Experience with POS integration or retail analytics systems.
  • Exposure to supply chain or logistics operations.
  • Understanding of product photography, copy, or digital merchandising.
  • Familiarity with 3PL systems such as ShipBob, Boxzooka, or ShipHero.

Responsibilities

  • Line Planning and Forecasting: Maintain and update the master SKU plan, keeping track of what is launching, what is retiring, and what needs replenished.
  • Forecast product demand based on sell-through, player feedback, and seasonal trends to ensure accurate production quantities and minimize excess inventory.
  • Own par-level strategy and make recommendations on replenishment quantities and timing.
  • Track product lifecycle phases(Core, Limited, Seasonal, Drop, Retired) and recommend transitions based on performance and inventory position.
  • Support costing, pricing, and margin tracking for all active and upcoming SKUs.
  • Own the product launch tracker from factory PO to retail launch, maintaining coordination with the Production Designer for art and asset readiness.
  • Keep the merch calendar current including approvals, handoffs, photo shoots, and launch dates.
  • Shopify and Systems: Own product setup in Shopify including images, descriptions, pricing, tags, and collections.
  • Keep Shopify and POS in sync with clean data and accurate stock levels.
  • Own the reorder process from analysis to PO creation, working with factories on quantities, timing, and production updates.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to manage inbound routing and delivery schedules.
  • Partner with Marketing to make sure photography, copy, and product pages match brand standards.
  • Build and maintain simple reporting dashboards to monitor performance, conversion, and inventory health.
  • Retail Presentation and Planograms: Develop and maintain store planograms in partnership with Construction & Design and Retail Operations.
  • Ensure product placement, signage, and visual presentation align with brand intent.
  • Prepare launch kits, signage templates, and product setup documentation for retail teams.
  • Request and review photo submissions and store feedback regularly to confirm accurate setup and product presentation.
  • Performance and Replenishment: Review sell-through reports weekly to identify wins, risks, and reorder opportunities.
  • Manage reorders directly with factories, working with Supply Chain to align inbound timing and logistics.
  • Prepare monthly performance summaries by store and category for leadership and FP&A.
  • Recommend markdowns or product swaps based on product age, seasonality, and margin targets.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Support the Head of Merchandise by coordinating across Product Development, Supply Chain, Finance, Retail Operations, and Creative.
  • Maintain trackers, calendars, and communication across teams to ensure clear accountability and deadlines.
  • Gather and organize inputs for pre-launch and post-launch reviews, summarizing results and feedback for leadership.
  • Assist with new store openings by preparing product setup files, planograms, and launch materials.
