The Merchandiser/Stocker is responsible for maintaining the front floor area, ensuring it is stocked, fronted, and clean. This role involves stocking merchandise according to planograms or displays, completing sales preparation, and greeting customers on the sales floor. In larger installer volume stores, the individual may also serve as a stock puller for the installer area. Key duties include checking in, pricing, and putting up stock, making display and price changes, managing sale signs and merchandise, and assisting with inventory tasks like stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns. The position also involves working with management on store tasks, acting as a shoplifting deterrent, and assisting with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities. For Hub stores, the role expands to pulling and staging installer deliveries, acting as a communication liaison between ISS, delivery specialists, and the store manager, assisting with delivery route efficiency, and coordinating vehicle inspections and maintenance. Additionally, it includes pulling parts quickly and accurately from pick tickets for delivery to other stores serviced by the Hub, sorting parts, inspecting boxes, and maintaining a safe work environment.
