The Lead Merchandiser is responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts. This position will be accountable for keeping inventory records and writing replenishment orders on designated weekend accounts (or other possible exceptions), maintaining data entry and transmission of written orders, while keeping open communication between District Supervisor, Account Manager, Store Management and Store Personnel.

Requirements

  • High School - GED or Diploma preferred.
  • 2-4 years of general work experience; to include but not limited to, communication skills, teamwork, ability to follow an ordering methodology, math skills, and business judgment skills.
  • Must be able to use a personal automobile during business hours.
  • Experience working with minimal supervision.
  • 3-5 years of DSD Merchandising preferred.
  • Valid Driver's Licenses, current automobile liability insurance, and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
  • Pallet jack certification as required.
  • Lifting of 50+ pounds, bending, reaching, kneeling and light merchandising.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate product levels in beverage sections and throughout accounts including shelf allocation and cold equipment.
  • Build and maintain product displays in compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain clean and organized back-room and manage trade breakage in assigned accounts.
  • Meet customer service expectations through daily communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow up.
  • Maintain professional, team relationship with co-workers and customers.
  • Transport, replace and maintain Point of Sale advertising as appropriate for account.
  • Maintain Merchandising standards while rotating products in designated accounts.
  • May train new or existing merchandisers on standard merchandising activities and procedures (primary training responsibilities are to be provided by Merchandising Supervisor).
  • Help determine stores' product needs and support maintenance of inventory levels, will place and transmit appropriate orders on weekend or other specific exceptions.
  • Point of contact for merchandisers while in the trade in the absence of a District Supervisor.
