About The Position

As a Merchandiser at O'Reilly Auto Parts, you will greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise, and direct them to parts specialists when necessary. Your responsibilities will include checking in, pricing, and stocking merchandise according to planograms or displays, ensuring the front area is stocked and clean, and completing sales preparation. You will also act as a deterrent to shoplifters and assist with various store tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

  • Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise.
  • Direct customers to parts specialists for hard parts.
  • Check in, price, and put up stock.
  • Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and clean daily.
  • Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
  • Make all out-front price changes and ensure 'sale' signs are in place.
  • Maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise on display.
  • Remove sale material when sales end and restore original pricing.
  • Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
  • Work with the manager to complete the store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
  • Act as the main shoplifting deterrent and front floor security.
  • Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
  • Clock in/out according to company policy.
  • Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise quickly and friendly.
  • Handle merchandise returns from customers efficiently.
  • Assist customers by finishing tickets and processing payments when needed.
