About The Position

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a dedicated individual for the position of Merchandiser and Cashier. The role involves greeting customers on the sales floor, assisting them in locating merchandise, and directing them to parts specialists when necessary. Responsibilities include checking in, pricing, and stocking merchandise according to company guidelines, ensuring the display floor is clean and well-stocked, and making necessary price changes. The position also requires acting as a deterrent to shoplifting and assisting with various store tasks as directed by management. As a cashier, the individual will check out customers in a friendly manner, handle merchandise returns, and assist in busy times by processing transactions efficiently. Requirements

• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise.
• Check in, price, and put up stock.
• Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and clean daily.
• Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
• Make all out-front price changes and ensure sale signs are in place.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with manager to complete store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as main shoplifting deterrent and front floor security.
• Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise quickly and friendly.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers efficiently.
