About The Position

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Merchandiser to join our team. The position involves greeting customers on the sales floor, assisting them in locating merchandise, and directing them to parts specialists when necessary. The role also includes checking in, pricing, and stocking merchandise according to planograms or displays, as well as completing sales preparation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the front area stocked and fronted, ensuring that all sale signs are in place, and assisting with stock adjustments and cycle counts. Additionally, the Merchandiser will act as a deterrent to shoplifting and assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities. The position requires clocking in and out according to company policy and providing excellent customer service as a cashier, handling merchandise returns efficiently.

Requirements

  • Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
  • Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers on the sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise.
  • Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
  • Maintain merchandise on display floor, ensuring it is fronted, full, and clean.
  • Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
  • Ensure all sale signs are in place and maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise.
  • Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
  • Work with the manager to complete store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
  • Act as a deterrent to shoplifting and provide front floor security.
  • Assist with cashier duties, checking out customers quickly and efficiently.
  • Handle merchandise returns from customers in a friendly manner.
