About The Position

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Merchandiser and Cashier. In this role, you will be responsible for greeting customers on the sales floor, assisting them in locating merchandise, and directing them to a parts specialist when necessary. You will also handle customer checkouts, deter shoplifters, and maintain the front area of the store by stocking merchandise according to planograms and displays. Your duties will include checking in, pricing, and putting up stock, as well as ensuring that the display floor is clean, full, and well-organized. You will make display changes according to company guidelines and ensure that all sale signs are in place. Additionally, you will assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns, while working closely with the manager to complete store tasks. As a cashier, you will check out customers in a friendly manner and handle merchandise returns efficiently. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Good organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicle.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Greet customers on sales floor and assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to parts specialist.
• Check in, price, and put up stock.
• Keep merchandise on display floor fronted, full, and clean daily.
• Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
• Make all out-front price changes and ensure all sale signs are in place.
• Maintain sufficient quantities of sale merchandise on display and remove sale material when sales end.
• Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
• Work with manager to complete store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
• Act as main shoplifting deterrent and front floor security.
• Assist with O'Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise quickly and friendly.
• Handle merchandise returns from customers efficiently.
• Assist customers with finishing tickets and processing payments when needed.
