About The Position
The position involves greeting customers on the sales floor, directing them to products or parts specialists, and checking out customers while deterring shoplifters. The role requires keeping the front area stocked and organized, stocking merchandise according to planograms or displays, and completing sales preparation. The essential job functions are divided into two main roles: Merchandiser and Cashier. As a Merchandiser, the employee will assist customers in locating merchandise, check in and price stock, maintain the display floor, and assist with stock adjustments and store tasks. As a Cashier, the employee will check out customers, handle merchandise returns, and assist in busy times at the counter.
