As a part-time Weekend Outlet Associate / Sales Floor & Product Handler you play an essential role in creating an exceptional experience for our customers as you support the behind-the-scenes work of our outlet. You are comfortable using your hands and prefer working on your feet in a fast-paced, retail environment, but you also appreciate engaging with customers to complete their shopping experience with “wow” customer-service moments. You’ll join a team of positive people who love what they do as they represent the Room & Board brand and enjoy a sense of camaraderie in working together. Schedule: In this part-time role as a product handler, you will work Saturdays and Sundays: 9:30am-6pm with one weekend off per month. Location: 2525 West 22nd Street, Oak Brook, IL 60523 As a part-time Product Handler / Weekend Outlet Associate, you’ll be responsible for:

Requirements

  • High level of professionalism and passion to be a strong brand ambassador
  • Desire to focus on serving the customer with agility, confidence, and enthusiasm
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently lift and mobilize furniture and accessories, while utilizing appropriate equipment and adhering to safety guidelines

Responsibilities

  • Actively looking for ways to answer questions, offer solutions, and engage with customers
  • Processing sales orders using a computer system that maintains customer and sales information
  • Using equipment to move furniture on and off the showroom floor
  • Wrapping upholstery for delivery
  • Loading home furnishings into customer’s vehicles
  • Engaging with customers on the showroom floor and creating a positive customer experience
  • Working productively and effectively in a high energy environment
  • Problem-solving in a variety of situations
