THE ROLE This basic timeline will provide you with an idea of the diverse roles you will undertake. You will be involved in various tasks, including working with inventory processes and spending time in The Shops. You will be able to collaborate with Legends staff and leading tennis merchandise and apparel manufacturers. This experience will offer you valuable insights into the overall operations of a tennis championship. 2026 BNP Paribas Open Location: Indian Wells Tennis Garden, Indian Wells, CA Estimated Time Frame: February 16th – March 18th, 2026 POSITION DESCRIPTION-TIMELINE: This basic timeline will provide you with an idea of the diverse roles you will undertake. You will be involved in various tasks, including working with inventory processes and spending time in The Shops. You will be able to collaborate with Legends staff and leading tennis merchandise and apparel manufacturers. This experience will offer you valuable insights into the overall operations of a tennis championship. End of February Assist in receiving all merchandise for The Shops Receive product cartons Conduct inventory processes Organize and distribute merchandise around The Shops Beginning of March Assist with set-up and visual displays within The Shops Work with national vendor representatives to move products into the store Design storefront layout and displays to enhance visual appeal and attract customers Work with visuals consultant and Legends staff to create and apply visuals throughout the Shops Assist in the final preparations of the merchandise facilities Create signage; Organize the point-of-sale stations; Train volunteers Event Weeks Assist our full-time merchandise staff in running The Shops throughout the BNP Paribas event weeks (March 1 - 15) Direct over 250 employees in various areas of the merchandise operations Coordinate with vendors on product related tasks and questions Resolving customer service issues and inquiring on customer satisfaction Implement design changes to store layout to improve customer flow Post Tournament Week Assist with the breakdown of the merchandise operations Assist with any post-event sales and load out process Please click on the link below to view a video of the 2025 BNP Shops to reference our operation. https://vimeo.com/1067449125/d4210cb9e3?share=copy

Requirements

  • All applicants must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
  • Must be friendly, self-motivated, and love meeting new people in an exciting event setting
  • Willingness and drive to exceed guest expectations
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment
  • Must maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend and move throughout the venue for extended periods of time
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs on a continuous basis
  • Basic math skills; ability to accurately count change and balance bank
  • Ability to work independently or in a team during set up and to get tasks done efficiently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and guests
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members along with willingness to set and maintain high standards of performance
  • Must be flexible to work extended hours including late nights, weekends and holidays
  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations including but not limited to Legends’ COVID Preparedness Plan and Standard Operating Procedures, complete company-wide safety training and any additional job specific safety training.
