This role is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team. It also ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The Merchandise Coordinator role models exceptional customer service, creates a positive internal and external customer experience, and promotes a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality. The position involves orchestrating truck delivery, prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor, training and mentoring Associates, and ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded. The coordinator communicates with the Coordinator on Duty for efficient flow of goods, monitors team productivity, organizes back stock, and maintains merchandising philosophy and signage standards. They also ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, communicate effectively with management, provide and accept feedback, partner on training needs, ensure adherence to policies, promote credit/loyalty programs, support shrink reduction, and promote safety.
