About The Position

The Merchandise Assistant supports the merchandising team in managing product assortments, vendor relationships, and operational processes. This role ensures timely flow of information, accurate product data, and smooth execution of merchandising plans to drive sales and enhance the customer experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of experience in retail, merchandising, or administrative support (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with inventory or ERP systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and maintaining merchandise assortments across all sales channels.
  • Support the creation of purchase orders, track shipments, and confirm delivery timelines with vendors.
  • Monitor inventory levels and alert the team to potential stock issues or replenishment needs.
  • Assist with visual merchandising directives, including signage, planograms, and product presentation standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, operations, and warehouse) to ensure product launches and promotions are executed on time.
  • Maintain organized files for product samples, invoices, and promotional materials.
  • Provide administrative support to the Merchandising Manager and buyers as needed.
