Requirements

  • Prior automotive service experience preferred.
  • Degree or certificate from a trade school required.
  • Completion of a Mercedes-Benz program preferred.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance services and general automotive systems.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and grow within the dealership.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work well as part of a team.
  • Professional attitude and respect for safety, cleanliness, and process consistency.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance services such as oil and filter changes, tire rotations, battery services, fluid checks, wiper replacement, and basic multi-point inspections.
  • Inspect vehicles consistently and identify maintenance needs, wear items, and potential safety concerns.
  • Communicate findings clearly and accurately to support service recommendations and repair planning.
  • Complete assigned services efficiently while following manufacturer guidelines, dealership procedures, and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services performed, inspection results, and parts used.
  • Properly use shop equipment, tools, and technology in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Keep work areas clean, organized, and aligned with dealership safety and housekeeping expectations.
  • Support service lane efficiency by helping deliver a timely, professional, and seamless guest experience.
  • Assist with moving, staging, and preparing vehicles as needed to support daily service operations.
  • Participate in training and development to build technical skills and advance within the service department.
