About The Position

The University of Indianapolis is seeking applicants for a MEP Technician (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) for the Facilities Department. This individual should be service oriented and have knowledge of BMS controls, refrigeration, cooling systems, boilers, burners, and plumbing systems.

Requirements

• Experience in the maintenance field with a thorough understanding of mechanical systems, electricity, and plumbing
• Knowledge of BMS controls, refrigeration, cooling systems, boilers, burners, and plumbing systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with BMS controls, refrigeration, and other mechanical systems
• Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
• Perform routine maintenance on boilers, burners, and other equipment
• Collaborate with other facilities staff to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations
