About The Position
Construction MEP Superintendent / Inspector Location: Auburn, NY About LiRo-Hill LiRo-Hill is a construction management and engineering firm supporting public and private sector projects across the Northeast. Position Overview Seeking an experienced construction Superintendent to oversee a $25M addition at a secure residential facility. This role oversee's onsite construction, monitoring contractors and subcontractors coordination, and compliance across multiple contracts.
Requirements
- 8+ years construction experience, with a minimum of 5 years as superintendent on large scale projects.
- Able to communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against work plan
- Able to perform detailed comparision of design drawings against each other to assure coordination between each of the trades.
- OSHA 30 required

- Experience working on OGS or other public sector projects
- Experience working in secure or correctional facility environments
Responsibilities
- Monitor contract compliance via daily inspections for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing trades.
- Review contractor As-Builts monthly to ensure they are updated.
- Conduct and document per pocedures onsite QA/QC activities through use of: 1st Delivery Inspections, Closure Inspections, Mock-Up Inspections, and Acceptance Testing.
- Prepare and coordinate Pre-Activity meetings prior to significant scopes of work.
- Perform a detailed comparison of the contract drawings, specifications, and approved product submittals to ensure conformance with the contract.
- Ensure that Manufacturer’s Installation Instructions are being followed.
- Monitoring of sub-contractor & supplier usage to ensure pre-approval before work starts
- Assist the contractor(s) with the coordination of activities on the construction site with the other trades and the facility.
- Monitor workforce and performance against the work plan.
- Coordinate facility training.
- Ensure OSHA 10 cards are on file for each worker
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted standards of workmanship.
- Offer recommendations to improve constructability.
- Complete punchlists and track completion.
