Air Systems Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer (PE) to join our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) team in San Jose, CA. As a wholly owned subsidiary of EMCOR Group, Inc., we pride ourselves on being a total facilities solution provider, specializing in HVAC, Architectural Sheet Metal, Preventive Maintenance & Service, Electrical, High Purity Process Piping, Plumbing, Building Automation Systems, and Energy Solutions. The Project Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting our projects by engaging in various tasks that encompass estimating, design, and project management support. In this role, the Project Engineer will be responsible for estimating project costs, requesting quotes, completing takeoffs, and preparing summary cost reports. Additionally, the PE will draft proposal letters and conduct load calculations to specify equipment and prepare necessary documentation, including T24 documentation. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential for developing permit drawings that meet project specifications. The Project Engineer will also provide project management support by preparing Requests for Information (RFIs), coordinating with field personnel, performing job site visits, and reviewing and compiling submittal packages. This position offers a pathway for career advancement, allowing the PE to specialize in design engineering or project management, depending on their interests and skills.
